The Best One Paragraph Advice For A New Licensed Premises Security Personnel

I thought I would just throw this out there.

What is one paragraph of great advice you would give a brand new security operative into the licensed premises area of the security industry?

Best Advice For A New Licensed Premises Security Personnel

Here is one of mine to start:

“Close your eyes for a moment. imagine you have a daughter whom is 17 years and 29 days old and tomorrow night, you will be dropping her off to a licensed premises with her friends for her first night out at a hotel for her 18th Birthday.”

Who do you want to see working at the door? How do you want them to be dressed and to act? Do you want them to have some physical presence but not be intimidating so they are approachable in case she needs assistance? Do you want them to be alert and vigilant and to be engaging? Integrity, honesty, professionalism, attentiveness and  all the things you now have running through your mind is what the public and your clients expect of you. In your role as a security operative, you are taking over temporary protection and care for their loved ones and it is a massive responsibility and a key position of trust so don’t ever undersell or underestimate the importance of what you do”.

Thoughts? I’d love to hear some others from everyone here.
