2019 Rescheduling Fees

Students are expected to attend all training sessions punctually, for the entire duration of their course in accordance with their course schedule and Training Plan.

If a student is unable to attend a training session, they must notify Student Services staff prior to the commencement of that training session. Please note that the student must complete the relevant unit/s of competency within 30 calendar days of missing the original class date.

Acceptable reasons for non-attendance at training sessions include:

  • Student or close family member illness supported by a doctor’s certificate
  • Death of a close member of the student’s family

If a student misses a day of training, the student is removed from continuing with that class. The student will be given a chance and is re-booked into next available course from the day the student is absent onwards.

Students are responsible to pay for $50.00 rescheduling fees. A student will be allowed to attend the next available class after paying for the appropriate rescheduling fees. If the student is still not able to attend the re-scheduled class, the student will be required to fill out a Reschedule Application Form subject to ISTA approval.

Please note that ISTA has the right to withdraw a student from the unit/s of competency if they fail to attend a rescheduled class and, the student will be responsible to re-enrol and pay the full fee for the unit/s of competency they wish to complete.

Prior to attending the next re-scheduled available class, the student is responsible to pay:

  • $80.00 for Certificate II courses
  • $120.00 for Certificate III courses
  • $180.00 for Certificate IV courses

If the student is still not able to attend the re-scheduled classes, the student is required to submit a Reschedule Application Form subject to approval.

A student is expected to re-engage and complete their unit/s within 2 months of their last attendance in the course.

IMPORTANT:

All students being withdrawn from a Course or a Unit of Competency are reminded that their enrolment in a Victorian government subsidised Program (or part thereof, and regardless of completion), will affect their future training options and eligibility for further Victorian government subsidised training.
